This store is located on the 4th floor of a building that is connected to the Kawagoe station. In a good way this store look different compared to the other stores on the 4th floor. Things they carry were good quality clothing, particularly chosen good quality foods... It is not new inside the central of Tokyo, and the store concept is "A little suprior things" but I was glad that Kawagoe now has that kind of store. I would probably use here for buying gifts next time...? They had paper cranes which I believed made by store associates or cute paintings displayed in the store. It might be hard to go up to the 4th floor, but I would highly recommend♪
I bought a pullover and a one-piece. I was looking for something for spring, and then I found the items that look natural and cute. I like them a lot. The shop "Niko and…" has a variety of stationaries, tablewears, and interiors. It's fun to look around, and I can stay there for hours. Coordinate of salesclerks are cute so they're my reference. I can't help to look at them. Atre Kawagoe is located 30 seconds on foot from the station, and it's very convenient. There are other shops and city facilities in the building, so I can stop by when I wait for a train. The building was renovated a while ago, so it's very clean.
This is one of shops I often go. I've already visited twice since the new year day. The shop is light and wide, and it's easy to look around. I was looking for a black one-piece and underwear. There was only large size for the black one-piece, so I decided to buy another one-piece with sleeves. There were lots of underwear so I always couldn't decide what to buy. There are a few combinations of a top and a bottom, so that's disappointment, but anyway I'm happy with low price. I bought some for my husband too. I wanted to try on a boyfriend-denim pants, but it looked that salesclerks are all busy. Also I don't bother if I need to fix the length, so I decided not to buy them this time. I bought only what I was looking for as I planed.
I bought a cut-and-sew for me and an underwear for my husband. My husband likes texture and the right size of underwears of MUJI so I buy a lot. My cut-and-sew was on sale. That's why I bought it.
Atre Kawagoe has good access from Kawagoe Station for approximately 30 seconds on foot and I went there during the waiting time for a train. It was very convenient. A salesclerk was genial, and the service at the checkout was good. I did nice shopping.
I purchased husband’s business coat. The shop was just having a sale so I was satisfied with the bargain. Also, a staff has same last name as me, which is unfamiliar. I had friendly feeling towards her & we enjoyed a great conversation. In addition, surprisingly, we have same last name, different Chinese characters though! I could not only do valuable shopping, but also enjoyed it!
I recommend to go to local shopping malls if it will be your first sale experience and you want to get brand items.
My parents live in Saitama so I used to go to the new year's sale at Atre Kawagoe.
I used to commute to a school in Tokyo, and I often went to department stores and shopping malls there to buy casual clothes and fashion accessories.
However, it was so tiring to walk around within the crowds during the new year's and new year's eve sale everywhere in Tokyo...I thought I wouldn't go for queuing far away department from my home town on new year's day so it all started when I decided to have a look at local stores.
There was a queue in Atre Kawagoe, too but the surrounding roads were so wide and no comparison to the stores in Tokyo. It was cold standing outside but wasn't too bad as I was well prepared.
You'll see the familiar scenes, people rushing into the store when the doors opened and popular shops are very busy with so many customers, but it was easier to walk through with a few big bags as the corridors were much wider.
Lucky bags didn't go as quickly as ones in Tokyo shops, so I bought a few from brand shops I was interested in then went to have a look of ordinary sale items. I wasn't sure if there was any difference in items or lucky bag contents between here and Tokyo shops but it would be a good idea to travel to shopping malls outside Tokyo to get brand items, particularly if you are tired of always crowded shops.
The inside became brighter and has a good atmosphere since the refurbishment. There are many trendy shops, brands' shops and fashionable shops for small items. You can find what you like. I often buy clothes on the floor for ladies and the shop assistants in some shops like OLIVE DE OLIVE and KUTSUSHITA-YA are nice. The store often has a sale on so you can get a good deal. I happen to buy too many in MUJI as it's in a nice atmosphere. Without a doubt, its ATRE if you go shopping in Kawagoe area.
